FIFA 19 Will Have Battle Royale
EA Sports has made one the biggest announcements in the history of announcements: FIFA 19 will have Battle Royale. This is one of the most popular video game genres nowadays, present in many games such as PUBG and Fortnite.
“This is a milestone in the history of video games. Having a football game with a Battle Royale mode is going to be amazing”, said Gary Cockburn, president of FIFA.
The game will come in two modes: FIFA 19 normal and FIFA 19 Battle Royale.
In FIFA 19 Battle Royale, a maximum number of 100 players will be dropped in a huge football pitch, which will get smaller as the game goes on. An Artificial Intelligence bot with the voice of Martin Tyler will be commentating over the game.
Once every player lands, they’ll be able to find clothing and different kind of shoes. The main idea here is that you won’t kick a ball, you will kick other players to death. Every football boot will make a different level of damage to other players, it’s up to you to find the best one.
In normal battle royale games, a plane appears at some point of the game and drops bombs at random places, killing anyone in the way. This game will have several ways to kill random players throughout the game:
- Matthew Mzizi might appear at a random place of the field and shoot red cards at anyone in a radius of 5 meters (16 ft).
- Luis Suarez might randomly appear and bite some players in a radius of 5 meters as well.
- Sergio Ramos’ ball might come down from the sky and blow up like bomb.
Occasionally, a plane will pass over the field and drop a ball, so you can hit other players like this:
The last player or team standing will win.
Players will also be able to pay $50 for the ‘Sergio Ramos’ pack, which will allow players to break the rules without punishment.
If you pay an extra $150 you can get guns so you can kill other players more easily.
And just for $500 you can get a bomb to kill even more players.
And if you agree on paying $1000 you will win the round before it even begins, EA confirms.
A huge thanks to the guys of r/FIFA.
