Facebook helps coma patient deal with memory loss by sending him all his personal information
A Texas man who was in a coma for about 5 years was able to reconstruct his social, economic and political life after Facebook sent him all his information. Roger Jones, a truck driver who had an accident that put him in coma, woke up with severe memory loss last week. He didn’t know who he was and even failed to recognize his family.
However, thanks to Facebook, he’s recovering his life completely. “Doctors had given up on him and said that he lost all his memory. I wrote a post on Facebook about his condition and before I even hit ‘Post’, I got a call from Mark Zuckerberg. They sent me a huge compilation of all images, videos, conversations and more, about Roger’s life, and I can’t tell you how much that helped my husband remember all that happened in the past 10 years”, said Emily Jones, Roger’s wife.
Doctors were also thankful with Facebook for sharing all the data stored over the years.
Even though Facebook is in the middle of a global controversy, there are some good news.
