American Exchange Student Sent Back Home From Japan For Not Using The Metric System
Japan is slowly taking revenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Not only by creating anime, but also by sending a 22-year old American exchange student back home, supposedly because he didn’t know how to use the metric system, which is used in the rest of the world.
Will Doors was sent back home after 3 intense weeks of trying to teach him how to use the metric system. His teacher did everything he could and tried all possible methods, but Doors wasn’t able to learn. He kept saying “pound”, “inches” and “feet”, no matter what.
He’s an engineering student, so he needs to deal with the metric system every day, but he kept asking every day why was it hot at 32° and saying that “Japan is weird, because at 32° it’s supposed to be cold”.
The team decided they had enough and sent him back home.
